Kiersten Haigler

I believe education is primarily the transmission of culture from one generation to the next; in our context, the handing down of literacy and faith practice. It is personal; the breaking down into small chunks of learning (as small as is necessary for each learner) those skills which we find beautiful and/or useful. The center of the curriculum is the child and the culture.

 Ms. Haigler earned an Associate in Child Development from San Jacinto College and a B.A. in Humanities from the University of Houston.
